Prevention of Cyberbullying Through Pedagogical Innovation and Digital Citizenship Curriculum Development: The Mediating Role of Local Wisdom Approach

Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between pedagogical innovation, digital citizenship curriculum development, local wisdom approaches, and cyberbullying prevention among primary school students in Surabaya, Indonesia. Using quantitative methods, a sample of 439 primary school teachers in Surabaya was selected to be representative of the city's western, eastern, southern, northern, and central areas. The survey was conducted in September 2025 by visiting schools face-to-face. The main finding of this study is that the local wisdom approach has a significant positive effect on cyberbullying prevention. Curriculum development also has a significant positive effect on the local wisdom approach. In addition, this study also revealed that the mediating role of the local wisdom approach has a significant positive effect. Therefore, the mediating role of local wisdom is crucial in preventing cyberbullying.
